Mature Skin

The skin changes over time, It has a number of contributory factors:

As fat and moisture content of the cells decrease, the skin's own renewal slows down and there is a reduction in substances that give the skin firmness and elasticity. How fast these changes appear depends on both external and internal factos. However, it's never too late to start taking care of your skin, even very dry mature skin can become vitalised by the proper products.

What are the common characteristics of mature skin?

Dry somtimes with a matte and flaky surface.
Wrinkles, even appearing with relaxed muscles.
Sometimes fragile skin, that easily becomes injured.
Pigment spots

Skincare routine for mature skin:

Morning:

  1. Rose Water - spray directly on to the face or apply with a cotton pad (when waking in the morning, it is not normally necessary to cleanse prior to using toner as your face usually does not get dirty during sleep)
  2. Eye Cream - lightly dab small amounts around the eyes
  3. Moisturiser normal/dry, dry/sensitive or Anti Wrinkle Rose Cream - apply to face, avoiding the eye area.

Evening:

  1. Cleansing Cream - dampen the face with luke warm water, place a small amount in your hand and gently massage the face to remove dirt and makeup, then rinse with luke warm water.
  2. Rose Water - spray directly on to the face or apply with a cotton pad.
  3. Eye Cream - lightly dab small amounts around the eyes.
  4. Moisturiser normal/dry, dry/sensitive or Anti Wrinkle Rose Cream - apply to face, avoiding the eye area.

Extra nutrition:

  • Gentle Peeling - to exfoliate dull surface cells and give skin a healty glow. Use light circular movements to massage into damp skin and rinse off with luke warm water. Avoid eye area, surface blood vessels and active spots. Once per week.
  • Clay Mask - for a deep cleanse to relax, balance and soften the skin. Apply thin layer and let it work for about 15 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water Once per week.
  • Vitamin C Serum - give skin an extra boost of vitamin C. Apply to cleansed skin before moisturiser. 2-3 times per week or as cure for very dry skin, every night for 2-3 months.
  • Night Care Intense - apply after cleansed skin. Use instead of Moisturiser or Anti Wrinkle if extra nutrition is needed for the night. Use approximately 2-3 times per week or more as required.
  • Carrot Oil - Apply on skin dampened by Rose Water. Use morning and evening for extra nourishment, especially in Winter.

Daily facial exercise can also help to stimulate the muscles and skin texture.
